Welcome in. Your teacher runs class; this site is your gear. Nothing on it grades you, nothing on it reports on you, and you can play every game as many times as you want, forever. That is the deal.

The Yard is drills and word walks, open every day, all year, like a park. The Plots are the escape rooms: one unlocks every few weeks, they are extra credit, one to five points, and the paper in your hand is what makes it count. The Kit is where you look things up instead of memorizing them: the formula board, the glossary, and the Field Notes that unlock one week at a time. The front page always knows what week it is, and THE STORY SO FAR catches you up if you ever miss a chapter.

Your teacher teaches. You bring your work on paper. Drills hand out tickets, word walks hand out slips, rooms pay out points, and locked doors always tell you the date they open. If a door is locked, it is not broken. It is early.

The Conductor tucked this behind the timetable: this line runs on two rules. Trains keep time, and time keeps the ones who read the whole board. Tell your teacher the phrase MIND THE GAP and look wise.
